Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Overview
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment is a type of medical treatment that involves injecting a concentrated solution of platelets and growth factors into the skin or other tissues. Platelets are cells found in the blood that are involved in clotting and healing. Growth factors are proteins that stimulate the growth and repair of tissues.
PRP treatment is often used in the field of regenerative medicine to stimulate the healing of damaged or injured tissues. It is also used in cosmetic procedures to improve the appearance of the skin and reduce the signs of aging. PRP can also be used to promote hair growth when injected into the scalp. We are excited to provide these services using the Cellenis® PRP system which provides treatments with a neutral pH resulting in a more comfortable treatment for our patients.
The process begins with the collection of a small sample of the patient’s blood, which is then placed in a centrifuge to separate the platelets and growth factors from the other blood cells. The concentrated solution is then injected into the treatment area using a needle.

Dermal filler is a foreign material designed to give volume and fill up lines in a specific area. But PRP can improve skin complexion, treat dermalogical conditions such as acne scarring, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles as well as stimulate hair follicles for hair rejuvenation using cell from your own body. No foreign materials with PRP!
This will be dependent on your individual situation. Often Cellenis® PRP treatment is performed in a series of three sessions, 3-6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6-12 months for optimal long lasting results. Your treatment plan will be discussed when you come in for a consultation with our providers.
During a PRP treatment, a healthcare provider will collect a small sample of your blood and place it in a centrifuge to separate the platelets and growth factors. The concentrated solution is then injected into the treatment area using a needle or a micro-needling device.
PRP treatments are often used to treat a variety of conditions, including injuries to the tendons, ligaments, and muscles, as well as joint pain, arthritis, and scars. PRP treatments are also used in cosmetic procedures to improve the appearance of the skin and reduce the signs of aging.
A PRP treatment typically takes 30-60 minutes, depending on the specific treatment being performed.
